Reminder! Beginning on 8/1/2012 Information Resources will begin upgrading any PC on campus that is still running Office 2003 to Office 2010. (If you are running Office 2007, you are free to upgrade to Office 2010 at anytime by also following the below steps.)
This upgrade is part of the on-going project to migrate from the GroupWise email system to Microsoft Exchange. 
You may manually upgrade your computer to Office 2010 by following these 4 steps:
1) Locate and double click the Desktop Manager icon on your desktop. It looks like a "Rocket Ship" - If you can not locate the Desktop Manager, please call the Helpdesk at 8-7995.
2) On the left side of the Desktop Manager, click on "Software Deployment Portal"
3) Locate "Microsoft Office Professional Plus" from the list of applications and click on the check box
4) At the bottom of the Software Portal, click "Deploy"
This will uninstall Office 2003 and install Office 2010. The process can take up to 30 mins. depending on the speed of your system.
We recognize that there may be vendor applications that are incompatible with Office 2010. If you believe that because of a specific application on your PC that you can not be upgraded to Office 2010, please contact the Customer Support Helpdesk at 8-7995 so we can discuss options with you.
